I rarely do reviews, but had to do a shout out. It was my second time going on a busy Saturday, and the line was so long, but it went fast and the qualityof the food was amazing. My family and the other family with us devoured everything. We even got a shaded seat on one of the hottest day of record high temps and had a great ocean view. But my biggest shout out is toward the management and customer service. They accidentally made an error on the bill, which was understandable considering how busy they were and how efficient they were trying to make things go for everyone. And when I called two days later to ask about my bill and to go over it, the manager, I think his name was Mark, was super gracious and friendly, and refunded me the extra charge very quickly. Will definitely be going here again and again.

Stopped by this Malibu staple after spending a day at the beach and craving fish n chips. It was a Thursday evening and we still had to wait about 15 minutes in line just to place our order. The line wasn't even out the door so be careful for weekend afternoons. Once we got the food, it turned out to be all worth it. Having some delicious freshly fried fish while overlooking the beautiful coastline is such a great experience. It's definitely worth the wait.

We decided to go on a drive up the PCH on Labor Day from Los Angeles over the weekend and were hoping to find some good clam chowder. The traffic on PCH was awful but we kept pushing on. Shortly after passing Pepperdine, we stumbled upon a patio cafe that had a bit of line. That seemed like an indicator that this place may be good! We learned right away that the parking is limited during busy times so we ended up having to pay $12 at the lot next door intended for beach visitors. We were actually lucky to find that so we were happy to take it. Line did take a bit, but it moved at a steady pace. they seem to have a pretty good system set up here with plenty of help. We ended up ordering some clam chowder and the combination seafood plate. The drive was definitely worth it as their clam chowder was DELICIOUS! The seafood plate was as well, but the clam chowder really stood out. The prices weren't over the top either, so this is a place we would easily return to. The staff is friendly enough and the outdoor vibe is great! If you're in Malibu, I'd definitely check this place out! Same if you're just passing through. It's worth it for sure.

I always stop by when I'm in the area, the best and only thing you need here is the fish & chips. The way they fry it is so perfect and crunchy and the fish is still super soft and moist. Dipping it in tartar sauce or in their chipotle aioli is so delicious, and their fries are a bit of a thicker cut. I've branched out and tried a few of their other menu items in the past (fish taquitos, deep fried clam strips, clam chowder is pretty good), but admittedly nothing really blows me away as much as the fish & chips do. It can be a bit daunting parking here as PCH moves so fast and the lot is pretty small considering how busy this spot can get, I personally only stop by on weekdays to avoid when it's too crowded. If the lot is full, you can typically also park along PCH. There tends to be a line, but it does move fast. Tables are available for dine-in, there are some under umbrellas but also a separate covered area up a flight of stairs. They also have a separate, market window if you are wanting to just pick up some fresh, raw seafood to bring home to cook.

We took a day trip out to Malibu and had to give this place a try. There's not a ton of parking but if you are lucky, you can get one of the free restaurant spots. The lot to the right of the restaurant is actually for the park which costs $12. Otherwise, there is street parking for the beach along PCH. We waited about 20 minutes to order and then another 30 for the food on a Saturday afternoon, holiday weekend. There is a few picnic tables along side the shack and also a patio area to the side with much more seating. And free water! There is also a counter on the side of the restaurant if you just want to order raw fish - use this to skip the line. What we ordered: NE Clam chowder: probably wouldn't get again. It lacked clam flavor. Roll: great to get with the soup though, like a bread bowl but cheaper Lobster roll: very fresh and light! I really enjoyed this and it came with coleslaw but we opted to replace that with potato salad (also really good!) Fish and chips: WOW, so light, tender and flakey. Sometimes fried fish can be super oily and make me feel sick after but this was fantastic. They are also ginormous. The fries aren't anything special but it was good! An absolute must if you're in the area!

Everything you want in a seafood shack! Incredible grilled fish of the day, awesome coleslaw and potato salad, crispy calamari and fried fish sandwiches, big covered outdoor seating for shaded dining. Right off the PCH and such fun. This would be my go-to if I lived nearby. 5 stars!!!!

This place offered one of the best sunsets. We came here around 7:30pm as the sun was just about to go down. There is a free parking lot on site. You stand in line, place your order and then find a table and seats. The atmosphere is causal and ocean front. I ended up getting the grilled mahi-mahi. The fish was a bit more dry than I would have liked, The baked potato was one of the sides and that was good. I would come back to get the fish and chips and the lobster roll. I give this place 5 stars for the relaxed, ocean front vibes and 3.5 stars for the food. Service is self-service. You order at the counter and pick up the food from a different counter. I had a great evening and look forward to coming back!

Malibu Seafood located on the side of the highway just across from the water is a Los Angeles / PCH staple. If you go on. Saturday or Sunday expect to wait at least 20-30 minutes (potentially even longer if it's a peak time). You can head a little further down the road to Neptune's Net, but the parking and line is just as bad if not worse. The key is finding a place to park. If you don't mind a little stroll there is always parking a long PCH, but if you want to be in the lot it's really a game of timing and luck. There is an adjacent state park, so you can always pay $12 and park there. Once parked wait in line, place you order, find a seat, and wait for your number to be called. My favorites are Clam Chowder, Fish and Chips, and Shrimp and Chips.
